Iva Norris Glover, 90, of 784-A Dogeye Road, Benson, died Saturday at Good Hope Hospital in Erwin.

She was born in Johnston County, Sept 30,1911, to the late Joseph Eldridge “J.N.” and Fruzzie Elizabeth Ivey Norris. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Herbert M. Glover; a daughter, Martha G. Cobb; and a son, James Herbert Glover.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson by the Rev. Ronnie Jones. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia G. Gregory of Benson and Judy G. McLamb of Martinez, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Annie Lee of Benson and Doris “Val” Valde of Smithfield.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at 784-A Dogeye Road, Benson.

WILLOW SPRING – Mrs. Martha Jane Glover Cobb, 60, 0f 1347 Two Claude Road, died Wednesday at her home after an extended illness. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Morris. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cobb was born August 17, 1940, in Johnston County to Iva Norris Glover of Benson and the late Herbert Glover. She was a secretary with the State of North Carolina Social Services. Mrs. Cobb was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
